Preparation of high pure refractory grade magnesium oxide from east coast sea water

چکیده

Preparation of good quality magnesium oxide from seawater is the most challenging job because vast majority undesired impurities come during precipitation stage. Hence, double salt route has been developed as a very unique technique to prepare refractory grade seawater. Controlled addition carrier reagent at precipitating stage precipitates salt. The transformed carbonate (MgCO3), which after calcination forms (MgO). product established by elemental analysis, PXRD, FTIR, TG/DTG, and FESEM. Commercially available MgCO3 MgO HiMedia have also characterized simultaneously for comparison. prepared shows high purity 99.75%, shown EDS measurement PXRD can be suitable basic material industrial purposes.
